About the Job
As an Assistant Installer, your main tasks involve supporting the installation of solar panels on the roofs of residential and commercial buildings. Your responsibilities include:
- Solar panel installation:
Installing panels on building rooftops. It is essential that the panels are securely mounted and meet all safety and regulatory standards. - Ensuring proper layout and connections:
Accurate positioning of the panels and connecting them into a functional system according to project plans. Emphasis is placed on both safety and system efficiency. - Connecting panels to electrical systems:
Installation also includes connecting the panels to controllers and the building’s electrical grid, requiring basic electrical skills and precision. - Testing and troubleshooting:
After installation, the assistant helps with system testing to ensure correct operation. If issues arise, the assistant should identify and resolve them quickly. - Installing renewable energy systems:
In addition to solar panels, the company works with other renewable energy technologies, offering opportunities to gain experience with different eco-friendly systems. - On-site support:
The assistant supports lead installers with tasks like lifting, placing and connecting components of the system. - Other duties:
Includes cleaning up the work site after installation and completing any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Job offer requirements:
- Availability to work for at least 6-12 months.
- Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
- Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
- Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
