About the Jobs:
Work at Quakelplant B.V. involves a wide range of tasks related to plant cultivation. Here are the main aspects of the job:
- Planting: The process begins with planting seedlings in appropriate pots, which requires precision to ensure proper growth. The work is done at tables, not along conveyor belts.
- Care and sorting: Employees handle daily plant care, including watering, fertilizing, and weeding. After the plants are harvested, they are sorted by species and size, which facilitates further sales.
- Monitoring growth: A key responsibility is regularly checking the condition of the plants. This requires knowledge of their needs and the ability to respond quickly to issues such as diseases or pests.
- Quality control: Employees are responsible for assessing the quality of the plants before shipping. This includes checking their health, appearance and compliance with orders.
- Preparing for shipment: The final stage is properly packing the plants to ensure they reach customers in excellent condition.
Working conditions: Work takes place in both the hall and the greenhouse, with temperatures ranging from approximately 15°C to 30°C.
Planned Working Hours:
08:00 AM – 04:15 PM. If there is an increased workload, working hours may change, and overtime will always be required.
Job offer requirements:
- Availability to work for at least 6-12 months.
- Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
- Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
- Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
- No contraindications for working in high temperatures
