Work at VOF C.T. en T.J. Nulkes takes place on a production line and primarily involves cleaning and splitting flower roots.

Scope of responsibilities:

Cleaning flower roots:
• Removing impurities: Employees are responsible for carefully cleaning the roots, which includes removing unwanted elements such as soil residues, dried parts and other contaminants. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure product quality.
Splitting roots:
• Dividing roots: The next step is splitting the roots into smaller segments. This allows each part of the root to develop better and contributes to healthy plant growth.
Seasonal tasks:
• Perennial division: From August, employees work on dividing perennials indoors, followed by planting them outdoors. This work typically lasts two to three weeks and is carried out by a small group, allowing for better coordination.
• Planting and placing on cutting trays: From mid-March, the process of planting roots and placing them on cutting trays begins. Employees responsible for this process must ensure proper spacing of the plants.
• Planting with a planting cart: From the end of March, planting is done using a planting cart, which improves efficiency and facilitates plant transport.
• Weeding and vacation: From mid-June, employees also handle weeding, which involves removing weeds and maintaining cleanliness in cultivation areas. This period also includes scheduled employee vacations, according to the work schedule.

Working conditions: Work takes place both indoors and in the field.

Winter season: 5–15°C

Summer season: 15–20°C

Job offer requirements:

Availability to work for at least 6-12 months.
Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
