About the company : Kwekerij De Opstal, operating since 2006, specializes in the cultivation of high-quality roses. Spanning over 3 hectares of greenhouse area, the company produces around 30 rose varieties, at least 5 of which are unique. Thanks to its skilled employees who oversee every stage of cultivation, these flowers are delivered daily to the Flora Holland flower auction, as well as to many other companies in the floral industry. About the Jobs
Trimming and picking flowers:
Employees are responsible for manually trimming and picking roses at the right growth stage to ensure their long-lasting freshness and visual appeal.
Removing leaves:
Removing unnecessary leaves from the stems helps improve plant development and enhances their aesthetic value.
Plant care:
Work includes watering, fertilizing and monitoring plant health in the greenhouses. Maintaining the roses’ condition is crucial for the quality of the final product.
Preparing bouquets:
Assembling flowers into bouquets according to customer orders. The job requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the bouquets are neat and professionally arranged.
Wrapping in foil:
Wrapping rose bouquets in foil to protect them during transport and prepare them for further distribution.
Placing orders on metal carts (trolleys):
Employees arrange completed orders on metal transport carts used to deliver the flowers to auctions and partner companies.
Preparing and packing orders:
Flowers are carefully packed and prepared for shipping, following customers’ specific requirements.
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor:
Depending on company needs, this may include additional tasks such as cleaning workstations, preparing tools, or operating simple machines.
Working Hours:
Friday: 07:00–15:00
Monday to Thursday: 07:00–17:00
Job offer requirements:
- Availability to work for at least 6-12 months.
- Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
- Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
- Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
- No contraindications to working in temperatures between 20°C and 27°C. Temperatures may be higher during spring and summer.
