About the Jobs:

Work at Orchidiva B.V. in Amstelveen takes place primarily in the greenhouse and production hall and involves caring for Cymbidium orchids. The working season runs from September to May, meaning employees are most active during this period. The range of responsibilities includes various tasks related to production, packaging and preparing plants for sale.

Responsibilities:

• Planting and plant care: Employees are responsible for planting young orchids and regularly caring for them, including watering, fertilizing and monitoring growing conditions.
• Placing support sticks for flower structure: Orchids require proper support in pots, so employees place special sticks and gently wrap the flowers around them to maintain shape.
• Clipping the product: Flowers are secured with clips to help them retain their proper form.
• Packaging the product in protective foil: Finished plants are wrapped in protective foil to prevent damage during transport.
• Labeling and arranging the product on carts: After packaging, products are labeled and arranged on carts for further transport or order preparation.
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor: In addition to standard tasks, employees may be involved in other duties related to production and order organization, depending on the company’s needs.

Job offer requirements:

Availability to work for at least 3-6 months.
Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
