About the Jobs
Location: Rijsenhout / Nieuw Vennep / Hoofddorp
Seasonal Work: The job mainly takes place during the spring and summer seasons when peonies are in bloom. The work requires good manual skills, attention to detail, and a steady pace.
Responsibilities:
- Harvesting Peonies
- Hand-picking peony flowers that are ready for harvest. It’s important to pick them at the correct stage-when buds are still closed but developed enough to open fully after cutting.
- Flowers must be sorted based on quality and size, then prepared for transport or further processing.
- Bundling (“Boszowanie”)
- Creating bunches of flowers (“bosjes”) by grouping several stems into aesthetically pleasing bundles.
- Bundles are then packed into transport crates or prepared for wholesale. This task requires precision, speed, and care to avoid damaging the flowers.
Estimated working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Job offer requirements:
- Availability to work for at least 6 weeks.
- Motivation to work: Overtime and Saturday work may be required during busy periods. During quieter periods, willingness to work for other clients is expected.
- Couples and friends are not guaranteed to work in the same department or shift. Work schedules are assigned individually.
- Candidates who start from September onwards are expected to work during the Christmas and New Year period.
- No contraindications in working outside
- Physically fit : This job involves long hours of standing and walking.
- Good hand skills and attention to detail are essential for tasks such as harvesting, sorting, and bundling flowers.
